You may find his answers differ significantly from those of the GOP candidates. We truly appreciate his participation and the opportunity to hear a different viewpoint. This is the only chance Texans have at this point to compare and contrast the GOP candidates and the leading Democratic candidate on the same questions. (The Texas Tribune called our virtual debate the "third debate" of the GOP season, which is quite a compliment. We think Mayor White's participation in this debate makes this the "first debate" of the fall season.)
Note that Question 4 is not available yet. That's why the You Tubes skip from Questions 1-3 to Questions 5-7. There's also a You Tube for Questions 8-10.
We never heard back from Farouk Shami's campaign.

Being from Houston and still having family living there, I can tell you that they don't think very highly of Bill White. He left the city in a major budget shortfall, allowed Katrina victims to stay at the Astrodome, crime rose 40%, Houston is still trying to recover from the Katrina victims, and city services--like police, fire, garbage were cut. Also Houston became a sanctuary city for illegals.

CoH debt is unsupportable, combined utility system with some of the highest water rates in the nation but the operating budget is in the red and refinance of about a billion in bond debt looms. CoH is floating hundreds of millions in bonds to pay pension obligations but the spending goes on, no plans to reduce city employee numbers, but plans to increase water/sewer charges are advancing as well as boosts to fines, fees, permits and doubling of ambulance billings which were raised a few years back. CoH is effectively bankrupt and this must be hung on White and his successor Parker who sat for 6 yrs as controller rubber stamping White's fantasies. Screw White to the floor, he just wants to spend your money.

Everyone needs to remember that Bill White was the mayor of one of the largest shelter cities in the U.S. Let us also not forget that a certain someone talked a very good game before elected to the office of President. Once in office he became a rabid leftist liberal. Trust your head and not your ears.

Yeah...uh huh...I witnessed voter fraud here, tried to expose it, I got my butt kicked and they tried to ruin my business. The other witnesses variously had , more or less nervous breakdowns. I still would like to fight against voter fraud, but I won't be out in the open so my enemies can use Alinsky tactics to destroy me personally.
